Over dramatic friends who always seem to be on the verge of either a thrill or a nervous breakdown usually draw others into a web of theatrics.
It’s not your responsibility.
It’s something you do not want to be involved in.
But, you allow yourself to be pulled in anyway.
It’s up to you.
You have power over thar choice.
Complex and problematic friends have the tendency of living on the egde.
Having lots of riches?
Traveling around the world?
Being a famous movie star?
It may mean that to some. But to me it means trusting in God. Knowing that He loves me and will always take care of me . . . no matter what.
Pushing seventy makes me realize just how scary and uncertain life is and how much more I must rely on God. How much more I must focus on taking care of my health. How much more I value the things that matter most in my life.
We are at the point in the yearly cycle when balance exists between light and dark.
The day of Spring Equinox has equal times of daylight and darkness.
As the sun moves from Pisces to Aries, it will cross the earth’s celestial equator, and momentary balance of day and night achieved.
Thereafter, the hours of light will predominate and the hours of dark will fade into the background.
The Equinox then, is a time for us to examine our own balance.
Does a balance exist between our poles of yin and yang, or are we prisoners of images of how we “should” behave?
As we move toward our outer nature “The Light”, we do honor our inner nature “The Dark”?
It was Carl Jung who reminded us that without the darkness we could not see the light of the candle flame.

If only… If only… If only-those may be the most foolish words in the English language.
Dwelling on these words doesn’t change a thing!
You may be feeling as though you made a mistake or a bad decision, and now could be punishing yourself by imagining alternate scenarios and what might have been.
You can not undo or redo actions or choices.
The only price to pay-if you have indeed made a mistake or a bad decision-is that you learn the lesson and apply it next time.

When the winter arrives and a bear goes into hibernation, it doesn’t think about what the spring will be like.
The bear doesn’t wonder whether the weather will be too rainy, or whether there will be enough food, or whether she will meet up with a friend or two.
You have, been in a way been in a state of hibernation recently.
You may have spent too much time wondering about the future and not absorbing the lessons and experiences that are happening to you now.
You will soon emerge into a new chapter in your life.
In the meantime, really live in the experiences you are blessed with.
